Split Guitar Quartet was founded in 2010. The Quartet is formed by prizewinning Croatian guitarists: Kajo Milišić, Josip Dragnić, Goran Cetinić Koća and Martin Andrijašević. During their continuous presence on the Croatian musical scene they have held numerous concerts which have been well accepted by the audience and the critics.
An international audience had a chance to hear the Split Guitar Quartet in April 2015 at the International Guitar Festival in Augsburg (Germany) and at the cyclus of concerts Musique des Nations in Luxembourg, where Quartet was representing Croatia.
In addition, the Quartet has held numerous concerts among which the most important are: the concert within concert season of the Croatian National Theatre in Split, concerts held at the inauguration of the „MAGfestival” and „Music evenings at St. Francis church”, the concert in occasion of Croatia’s accession to the EU held in Split in as well as numerous concerts within summer music festivals across Croatia.
Quartet was awarded for the best classical music concert at Makarska summer festival in 2015. Their music has been played in various radio shows at Croatian National Radio – First Channel and Third Channel, Voice of Croatia and Radio Split.
Quartet's repertoire conisist of transcriptions, works originally written for guitar quartet as well as works composed by Croatian composers, which is in line with the tendency to support work of Croatian composers.
